Taipei is the most likely start and finish of every journey in Taiwan, so we'd like to dive a little deeper into this vibrant city. The capital is located in the north and is home to 4+ million inhabitants. It's the economic epicentre of the country and hosts all major cultural sights. A supreme culinary scene, including multiple famous night markets, makes for a great few days to arrive and adjust to the Taiwanese lifestyle.

Next to the city centre, we believe venturing out to the nearby hills, the lush mountains further out in the west and south, and the vast Yangmingshan in the north, is one of the main reasons to love Taipei. If you can find the time, explore the areas outside the city as much as the city itself.
