Daren → Dulan 達仁 → 都蘭

From Daren, a 60 km long monotonous (but impressive!) stretch leads all the way up to your next destination, Taitung 台東. There are just a few places to fuel up along the route, so be sure to take ample food from the start.

You'll arrive in Taiwan's most remote “big” city, Taitung. Instead of staying overnight in the city centre, we prefer pedalling a little further along the north-east coastline to the lush plain of Dulan 都蘭, a tiny surfers' village. With beautiful ocean views, the area is brimming with guesthouses, coffee places and what not, making for a perfect overnight. Dulan Star Guesthouse is recommended.
